Illustrative Blackwork
Guido Severino
Growing up with his mother being a visual artist, Guido was essentially born holding a paintbrush in one hand and a pencil in the other.
In 2014, Guido attended Sheridan College for their bachelor of illustration course. During his third year, he felt the pressure of what the next steps were after graduating. Always being fascinated with the art of tattoos, Guido knew what he had to do. So he dropped out of school and started working on his portfolio to eventually get a tattoo apprenticeship in 2019.
Guido primarily specializes in illustrative blackwork. Having interesting textures through pepper shading and maintaining high contrast throughout his work. Guido takes influence from neo-traditional and Japanese designs when creating his work and would like to evolve doing more larger scale work in order to create a more dynamic and eye-catching tattoo.
